The IFRS Foundation has made announcements with regard to its webcasts that it would be holding on 12 December 2012. During the webcasts the IFRS Foundation would explain the manner in which the IFRS’s teaching related material that is being developed by the IFRS Foundation Education Initiative for supporting those who teach is to be utilized. The teaching will help the students in developing their skills and ability with regard to making estimates and judgments that are important for applying IFRSs. During the session the Foundation would be focusing on non-financial assets.

The objective of the initiative revolves around reinforcing the goal of IFRS Foundation with regard to adopting and applying the high-quality international accounting related standards on a consistent basis, taking into consideration the needs of SME’s as well as emerging economies. The wider education initiative encompasses deliverables such as the annual briefing document on IFRS for chief executives, audit committees and boards of directors, and education material on IFRS 13 Fair Value Measurement.
