IFRS Foundation Organizes Dubai Conference this September
Announcement of the dates for the conference has been conferred yesterday by the IFRS Foundation. 12 and 13th September, 2012, two consecutive days will feature the updates in the present as well as future projects of IASB. The members along with the technical team of the IASB will be attending the conference.
Presentations by eminent members of IFRS foundation will add valor to the conference held in the Middle East. Along with the IERS experts and senior IASB technical staff, the Vice-Chairman of the IASB, Ian Mackintosh will be featuring important presentations that relate more on statistical data and strategies that need to be discussed for future triumph.
Each of the conference topics are worth to notice but the following ones are given preference above the rest: update plans of IASB that highlights issues like future agenda consultation, recent issued standards, interpretation of improvements on annual basis, agenda of current projects, reviews on post implementation while other secondary issues that include consideration of Islamic finance to be applied within the IFRS standards. There are also eight breakout sessions which introduces financial instruments that replaces the IAS 9.
In total, 4 sessions of special interest will be organized that discuss in detail about the new as well as previous issued IFRS that would be applicable only under specific situations. The pre-conference sessions of special interest are said to be held between 9 am to 12 noon on the first day of the conference immediately before the main event takes place.
It is said that the special interests would include topics like extractive issues related to the different industries and also execution of the new IFRS’s adopted first time that is mandatorily followed from 1 january, 2013. In such sessions, there will be experienced personnel to become the speakers that should really help to bring discussions into real conclusions of those relevant areas.
