Wave Accounting Alters its Name to Wave

In its bid to send a strong message to its clients that it is not a mere cloud based and free to use accounting software maker and also with an intention to display its complete suite of back office tools, Wave Accounting has changed its website and name.
Wave Accounting will now be called as Wave and its new website would be www.waveapps.com. The company that primarily focuses on small businesses stated that users will now be able to find its payroll, invoicing, receipt, management, accounting, payments as well as other functions in a centralized location under the brand name ‘Wave’.
Kirk Simpson, Co-founder and Chief Executive Wave stated that an increasing number of Wave’s customer wanted them to integrate all their functionalities in one particular location, since the company has been expanding its offerings for a long time now.
Simpson also pointed out that the small businesses do not like doing a lot of back office related work and the easiest method in which they could complete the task was by acquiring just one password and one user interface. Simpson also mentioned that it was easier to acquire payment on invoices and complete the books instead of finding 4-5 distinct apps to try and complete the entries and accounting related tasks.
Simpson clarified that since they are connected with around five lakh registered members/users they have gathered endless feedback on ways of making accounting and back office task easier for small businesses.
Wave has received a number of feedbacks that can help them in bringing different functions together in a more simplified way.
Simpson also mentioned that apart from certain specific levels of payroll related work, Wave is generally free for all its users. Wave had launched the Wave Payroll software for users in Canada in the month of February and at present the software has been introduced in all the fifty states of the United States of America. Users can sign up for Wave’s product for free of cost, however, in order to run it they will have to pay a sum of less than five dollars for every employee on a monthly basis with absolutely no charge till the time 1st payroll is fully completed. Wave is also planning to launch mobile applications for receipt scanning and payroll in the month of January in 2013.
