SAP Business One is now available for HANA
HANA, SAP’s data aggregator, has now been blessed with a new and improved version of the Business One ERP product manufactured by SAP. The new and improved version is designed to integrate the capabilities of an in-memory platform with the company’s existing Business One application. The new and improved version of the Business One is not only long awaited but has also proved to be worth the wait. SAP made the announcement that they would be making available a new version of the Business One for HANA at the CeBIT 2013 which was held in the first week of March in the beautiful city that is Hanover, Germany.
The new and improved SAP Business One for SAP HANA is aimed at small companies, enterprises and workplaces. The new and improved SAP Business One for SAP HANA offers business insights from the very system that also processes and stores the details of each and every transaction made and the transactional processes. SAP previously announced in January that it would indeed be creating a SAP Business One client for the SAP HANA. They also announced that it would complement the SAP Business Suite of products, which is a product line specifically aimed at this very industry. They announced that this would allow the users of these ERP products to view and analyze transactional data on one, in-memory platform.
Another announcement regarding the SAP Business One for the SAP HANA was made by SAP and Portugal Telecom. This announcement stated that a developer’s version of the new and improved SAP Business One would also be created. This version would bless developers with the tools they need to develop add-ons and extensions for the SAP HANA platform. The announcement also stated that this would make the development of add-ons and extensions easier than ever before. In addition, SAP Business One partners also have the liberty to create add-ons for the SAP HANA platform. This can be done by assessing their industry, business and their needs. This will also allow partners to create add-on solutions for their businesses depending on their industry or geographic markets using the integration between the SAP Business One and the SAP HANA platforms.
