Deloitte Consulting Teams up with SAP America to Develop and Provide New Digital Offerings to its Clients

The consulting wing of Deloitte has recently announced that it has teamed up with SAP America to build and develop a new suite of services with regards to enabling digital transformation.

SAP and Deloitte consulting are planning to collaborate on developing offerings that will be powered by SAP Leonardo. SAP Leonardo is a digital innovation system which comprises of machine learning, artificial intelligence, big data, Internet of things (IoT), blockchain and analytics, all of which can be integrated in applications to create new data-driven intelligent systems

SAP and Deloitte Consulting are also planning to create and develop new “micro-services” that will help in extending the existing capabilities of SAP Leonardo. Initially the plan is to focus on offerings that will assist in evolving analytics, machine learning and IoT needs in relation to finance and throughout the supply chain.

The first solutions that are planned to be launched under the new partnership initiative will provide clients with Live Factory and Lights Out Finance features and capabilities. Live Factory is basically aimed at helping organizations in connecting shop floor through the help of SAP Leonardo. While Light Out Finance allows clients to employ cognitive and robotic extensions so that to help in automating financial processes.

According to Jim Moffatt, Deloitte Managing Partner, global consulting, It is just a start and with this collaboration we are trying to build a platform which will lay the foundation of the development of a set of processes and practices which will assist Deloitte Consulting to position itself in such a way that it will continue to develop and improve digital solutions for clients across all the industries.

By working on this collaboration with regards to inventing digital solutions that will address the future supply chain and finance needs, both SAP and Deloitte will gain and learn a lot from this experience. SAP will benefit from Deloitte Consulting’s in-depth knowledge with regards to business processes and also of understanding of how organizations will benefit from technologies in the future. Deloitte Consulting will also benefit from working experience with SAP as they will get deeper insights into SAP Leonardo and will also get information with regards to forthcoming enhancements to SAP S/4HANA.
