ACCA Enjoys Strong Performance and is Determined to Build on Successful Year

Association of chartered certified accountants (ACCA) is a global professional accountancy body. It witnessed an increase of 5% in registered members from last year. There are currently about 170,000 members associated with the global body. Apart from members, about 436,000 students are registered with the body including addition of 12000 students in previous year. Out of 436,000 students, 384,000 students were studying in pursuit of their ACCA qualification. ACCA provides its services through a network of 91 offices throughout the world.

The increase of 5% in membership as compared to last year is the biggest increase for any global body. Over 10,000 new members registered with the body in previous year with 98.4% of previous members renewing their membership.

ACCA’s base for achieving success is its professional values. ACCA conducted a survey asking employers of their thoughts about ACCA. The 95% of employers rated it as a reputed brand and 89% stated that ACCA is a top accountancy body around the globe. Furthermore, ACCA was viewed as the leading accountancy body around the world by 50% of employers participating in feedback while the followinghighest rated body only got 17% votes.

The learning institutions also presented their thoughts about ACCA. 90% of institutes described it as top class body and 85% agreed to the fact
that ACCA is a fantastic career selection for young generation.

The Chief Executive of ACCA, Helen Brand OBE said that the feedback of employers and institutes is of high importance to the body, since they offer learning and careerat to the members and affiliates of the body. She further added that ACCA is pleased on such a nice feedback and strong support from employers. She expressed the desire and will to work closely with employers to ensure ACCA continues to be of great help in fulfilling their needs.

Helen Brand continued that it is promising to see an increase in number of members and students associated with the body around the globe. She stated that this growth and better retention is attributable to more efficient and better quality of communication service which are benchmarked with global standards.
