AICPA Launches Mobile eReader App for Accounting and Auditing eBooks

In order to provide accountants with accounting and auditing eBooks, the American Institute of CPAs has launched an all new eReader app for the iPad and iPhone. The AICPA Reader can be downloaded for free of cost from Apple’s App Store. The unique app provides CPAs with the much desired flexibility to create a library of content on numerous auditing and accounting topics with ease. The best part about the app is that it allows users to create a completely portable library.

The ever expanding list of eBooks being uploaded by the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) consists primarily of guide books on auditing and accounting. In addition to this, AICPA has also introduced eBooks on audit risk alerts, practice management, guidance for management accounting among others.

The new application will allow CPAs to access the best of the accounting and auditing resources instantly. The AICPA Reader app will assist users in navigating through the AICPA’s collection of eBook as and when they desire. In fact, users of the app will also be able to create bookmarks and search for annotate text and keywords with ease.

To order the eBooks from AICPA’s online store, users can visit cpa2biz.com. They will have to download Adobe Digital Editions (a free of cost digit rights management program) to their Mac or personal computer. The eBook titles being downloaded by users can be authorized for use on as many devices such as desktops, smartphone, tablets, laptops and eReaders.

After downloading eBooka, the users will be able to transfer the publications directly to an iPhone or iPad via the AICPA Reader app by simply tapping the ‘Import eBook’ option and signing in using their existing AICPA or CPA2Biz log in details. Once a user signs in, they will find a list or the eBooks purchased previously and they will further be able to tap individual titles to add them to their device.

The AICPA Reader is basically an application that has been developed by CPA2Biz, the technology subsidiary of AICPA. Some of the other apps that have been launched by CPA2Biz include the CPA Exam Aid planning tool and the Journal of Accountancy News App for the iPad users.
