Thomson Reuters will Launch eBooks for Accounting and Tax Professionals

In order to provide accounting as well as tax reference handbooks for accounting and tax professionals, Thomson Reuters announced on Tuesday 10^th July 2012 that it would introduce accounting and tax handbooks for its Thomson Reuters ProView e-reader software. The ProView e-reader software can be downloadable on iPad for free of charge from the Apple Apps Store. Users of ProView can also access the software through a web browser. Apart from this, users can also download the public beta versions of the applications on their Android tablet via Amazon Appstore, Google Play aside to Mac operating system laptop and desktop PCs at Thomson Reuters ProView.

Thomson Reuters will be introducing the e-reader software with multiple Quickfinder titles and the RIA Federal Tax Handbook in autumn. Around ten titles will be launched during the initial few days of autumn and several other titles will be released in 2013.

While the ProView reader can be downloaded for free of cost, the company will deduct some charges for the content. The price of the content will be at par with the printed versions.

Thomson Reuters’s Vice president of product platforms, Steve Zelman pointed out that the company has carried out a lot of beta tests and the users have discovered that they can easily do highlighting and annotations on the eBooks. Thomson Reuters will also offer these features in the upcoming versions of their product.

Thomson Reuters is still in the process of finalizing the remaining list. However, some of the titles that will be launched on ProView include the Treasury regulations and Internal Revenue Code.

Users will also be able to access 1040 Quickfinder Handbook. This is quick reference book on tax, which will come with important information required to complete and file federal individual income tax returns. The book will also cover all the aspects of Form 1040, such as new developments and tax changes.

In addition to this, users will also be able to access books such as 1040 Quickfinder handbook on registered tax return preparers, Small Business Quickfinder handbook meant for financial planners, tax professionals as well as owners of small businesses among others. Users of Thomson Reuters ProView will also receive the latest versions of eBooks as an when they will be released.
